We had a tourist day and went out to the beach at Benitachell. It was absolutely beautiful. The sea was turquoise and the beaches white. Little caves line the beaches on the far side, only accessible by boat or parachute!
The steep cliffs plumet to the sea below, sheer drops that are not for the faint heated but the scenery is breathtaking.
There were villas perched on the top of huge cliffs, not a place I would chose to live. It would take a few years to get over the vertigo and the walk to the shop would be a bit of a challenge.
We walked right down to the bottom and back and felt we had earned the pastry that we bought from the patisserie at the local market.
Look at the villa right up there on the top teetering on the edge!
